(Me, being) Raised almost everywhere in Los Angeles county I see the parallels between now and the past… Lynching has simply transformed. This piece is actually two parts… Prey and Predator… The other canvas is finished just as crudely, the same size, though vertical in orientation. “Turn up” in this piece is to be personally interpreted. This isn’t a very big piece; but it’s symbolize is huge. I be like, “what in the entire fuck does turn up mean?”
